IMPOSSIBLE to talk with live people and CANNOT get refund
Avast USED TO BE OK, but now they've turned into a total Scam!! NO support, NO help, NO phone numbers to contact (what They(Avast)) term as "Support".. When I called "Support", all they tried to do was Sell me a "Technical Help package" for another $179.99, for a year's worthless 800 number located in Costa Rica. Avast antivirus took over my email and web search capabilities, so I had to entirely delete the entire program and remove it from my system in order for me to use my computer, normally. DO NOT USE... AVAST anymore; they are CROOKS!!!

Can't cancel my automatic withdrawal
When I got my renewal, I tried to cancel it because I'm no longer using that computer. The renew notice gave me a renewal notice number but left the password line blank. (very convenient if they don't want you to cancel your renewal ) Avast doesn't make it easy to stop the automatic withdrawal. If it was this difficult to purchase their product as it was to stop it, this company would go broke. I'm pretty sure I will never get involved with this company again, if I can ever stop the withdrawals from my checking account. I would hate to have to go in and close my account and open a new one, but it might be my only recourse. THIS SUCKS !!!!!

AVAST Antivirus - Cancellation and request refund
AVAST is blocking web sites for weather & news I use daily that came with a. 30 day back money guarantee if not satisfied. I’m getting popups blocking claiming certificate is invalid that I’ve been using for years. I've tried canceling via 866-951-**** on 04/01 and 04/07 with no luck. The 04/01 conversation I was told I would get a call back to help with a refund in 3 days, no call backs yet as of 04/08. Customer support sucks unable to help me resolve my issues plus having to have him repeat several times what he was telling me because of poor English. On the 04/07 technical support call the man said it would not work on my computer because I’m using Windows XP but he could fix it for $179.00, I hung up after that. Now who can I turn to? The 866 number goes to Costa Rica if that mattes?

Avast Software Internet Security Antivirus Review
I ask for refund after first week of using their Internet Security and never had it. They kept telling me they are working on it. Don't waste your money. It never solved my problem

Avast Antivirus scam
I purchased an Avast Antivirus program online for my office computer in 2013. When I retired my work computer, I assumed that when the year subscription ended and I did not renew that all was fine. Avast continued to bill my credit card for "automatic renewals" that I did not approve, ask for or need. They also billed me twice(two different companies handing Avast) for the same product. I failed to notice the yearly charges until 2 years later and had to call both companies to cancel. Be aware that in small print they add the "automatic renewal" clause and will continue to bill you even if you no longer want or use their product.

I listed a complaint regarding Digital Rivers ( AVAST). I wish to inform readers that Today, May 7, 2016 I received a notification that I am receiving full credit for the fee of the product Avast Grime Fighter which was automatically renewed (several days early). I had cancelled the auto renew many months ago. They have taken the necessary steps to rectify the errors. This was even faster than I had expected. Thank you Digital River for correcting the error. Thank you Thank you Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you is repeated to get to at least 100 words as required.

When I purchased the cleanup in 2015, I was not made aware that there would be a recurring charge. I phoned the number listed on my credit card and the recurring charge has been cancelled and I was directed to this site to request a refund. Avast has charged my credit card for anti virus without my ordering it . I requested for a refund and they are not giving it Whome do I contact for the refund and the phone no for sameI have made four attempts to get the refund and they keep on telling me to go to another site.It is also difficult to understand what they are speaking as it has been out soursed.This is a very sad state of affairs.To make this complaint they want me to type 80 words minimum.

I need my refund now!
Please cancel my auto renewal for the anti virus system. I purchased it last year without knowing you would take it out from my account without my consent first. I called costumer service and they referred me to the online support system which sucks! I no longer need the anti virus i do not even have the original laptop i purchased it on. I need my refund for 43.29 put back in to my account. I submitted a review this morning and i have not heard back from anyone at all! My order number is 166******** and my email is lop.lauren361@***.com. I need this issue resolved now! Do not purchase anything from this company if you do not want them charging you yearly with no warning.

Did Not Order Clean-Up
I was charged for and did not order nor do I not want the Clean-Up Software. I want the Security Software, ONLY. Please credit my account.. 3/18/2016 - I hate it when I get charged for something I did not order or do not want. All I am electronically signed up for is the security software. Do Not pull this "take it upon yourself" attitude. I will find another company to do business with. I have been satisfied with Avast until now. Why do I have to check on your Company to see if I have been charged for something I did not order? Cancel it!.

I accidentally made a double purchase for internet security with in the past 30 days . Already downloaded one Avast internet security and have had no problems so far. I would like a full refund for the order #928723**** . I already called customer service and they directed this web site. Are you serious with this web site that I have to write at least 100 words !!!!!! I AM ALREADY a customer !!!!! This is truly absolutely Crazy !! Seriously I am a pissed off customer now ! cancel contract 306******** I thought I had canceled this sometime ago and had not noticed it on my statement until this month, sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused. I have not used my computer in the last 6 months very much. I have contacted my Visa card before I called you, so just tell them I made arrangements to have this canceled, or you can let them do a inquire, which ever is the easiest for you. I am not in the habit of causing a problem with any company and I pay my accounts on time and pay in full each month. I had a charge on my Visa and had to get another card which was very up setting for me. Thank you for your help in solving this for me. Sharon J. Stacy

No need to buy anti virus software as many companies, including Avast offer a free version, eg., AVG. Now you know why agreeing to auto renewal or auto payment of bills is a very big mistake.
Contact your bank and tell them you want to stop this from Avast.
Good luck on that. This is how we learn.
