Cancelled a renewal for my avast which was due to expire 11/18, looked at my account saw a $54.11 charge last night, called to request a refund, now the runaround begins, said I needed to call another number, now they're telling me I need to go to some site to request a refund, which of course is going to take a whole lot longer than the few minutes it took them to take it out! Stinks, then on top of that the avast I had was $19.99, how did they come up with $54.11,for an auto renewal!

Charged twice for a scan 21.64

Last evening I ran 2 scans thinking they were free....I am a customer of AVASTantivirus...This morning I checked my bank account and I was charged 21.64 twice. I would like a refund

I would like a refund because. your cleaner is bad for MY games they stopped working rite after I ran your program I deleted your cleaner and now my games are back to work fine SO $25.89 for no games ? refund please too -------0606 THANKS J.C.W. 100 words about what?????????????I WOULD LIKE A REFUND last time I said please would you realy like me to go on and on about how BAD I think your soft ware is for small games OK I installed the cleaner and in two min.I go back to my game and see that 2 games did not work at all and 3 games said they had to work in some mode so I clicked ok and the games were very very slow so I guess it was slow mode my card games would take one card a full sec. to turn over slow SO I DO NOT NEED OR WANTE your cleaner so I say again refund PLEASE is that your 100 WORDS or should MY Wife get in it all so. your program doz not work for Me THANKS

Cancelation refund

a charge of $39,95 appeared on my Discover card dated SEpt. 26 which I did not authorzie. I called a representative at your company and got no solution. I was told I would have to request a refund on-line, when I entered the information she gave me on line all I got was alist of reviews. Sounds like you paid for their anti virus software but didn't realize you were also signing up for automatic renewal. Dispute the charge with your card company and see what happens.

Make sure you state the company's lack of response and action, etc. By the way, you never need to pay for anti virus programs. Even Avast offers a free version which works very well for most people.

AVG is another. Good luck.

I have 3 months left on my Avast subscription. I have been a subscriber since 2010. Today I called and explained how my firewall keeps going off and that I have a constant message regarding the host process for windows service has stopped working. The Customer service rep went on to inform me that they could do a free scan however if it involved more there would be a fee. When I asked for the free scan only he began to argue with me. Denying the scan as he felt ( with running a scan ) that it would need a paid for service. He noted that in my file I never purchased their paid for level up support service. I had so and that was a joke as each time I went through them I had to call back several times before the issue was fixed. I asked why was he giving me a hard time and told him I would write headquarters. Never Avast again!!!!

The same here, not only they send me nasty messages, like you " have enjoyed 360 days of free"avast, and if you do not

purchase their product, avast freezes my connection, as well

as freeze my keyboard. Hopefully, a responsible person from AVAST read my post.

Then, I called and the men at Costa Rica, complete jerks.

So you go from ***, to another ***. Forget AVAST

Poor customer service - Refunds denied

When I first started using their free service about three years ago it was great. However, once you sign up, you will get constant pop ups soliciting for their fee based service. Once you sign up you get billed once a year by DRI*Avast. So you call them and find out that they are Avast's billing company, "Direct River". By this time I had changed my antivirus software to applications that were more effective and really FREE without constant popups. I no longer wanted Avast nor it's "automatic billing" fee. Then the billing company gives you a cryptic website to go to such as "goo.gl/Ve7JOh" with an order number. Unless you do this right away you may forget that the O is a letter or a zero! So I enter the website and the account number within 30 days. No refund. So I call Direct River again and they give me a new cryptic website and order number which again I apply for a refund for $42.79. No refund. Direct River refers me to Avasts customer service which I call and they ask for you email address and say they will look into the matter. Then they grind out the emails to you - "I'm sorry you feel this way, but this is our policy" "You did not apply for the refund within 30 days" which I did! Still no refund! No manner of giving the customer the benefit of the doubt to retain them as a customer or any kind of good will. I feel like they reached their hand out of my computer and into my pocket! I rarely write complaints unless I know I have really been ripped off, but don't just go by my complaint, read all the others! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! You will be sorry!

I have a email from avast for auto renewal but no contact information to cancel auto renewal.I saw deal on internet for $49.99 /2 yrs renewal.Auto renewal cost $34.99/yr.I renewed for 2 years deal before auto renewal but Avast charged me for both.I called to get refund for auto renewal and their customer support told me to sent email request at g00.gl/2Rou5n but there is no such sites on Avast web page.I jest call my credicard company to reverse payment and disputed amount through my credit card company.I will never do business with Avast in future.

Requesting refund

An Auto renewal occurred debit ting my account $42.79 on November 9, 2015. I No longer need the service, although it appears to have provided good protection. I'm not really pissed but am annoyed because I wasn't aware of the deduction and I live check to check and for me a deduction of approximately 43.00 dollars can determine whether or not a bill that I have allocated money for gets paid or declined. In other words, I "be broke"...for now and I'm not in a position to pay for a service I do not need. I expect that many people are in my position at is time. Also I'm way past being a teenager and will miss emails alerting me of such deductions. I hi I that companies know this about consumers and insist on automatic renewals so that you earn interest on the $ from people like me. Sad business practice.

You apparently didn't read the fine print when you signed up. A common mistake.

However, some advice for you: never pay for anti virus programs. Even Avast has a free version which works very well. AVG and others also offer free versions. The other mistake was in using a debit card, especially online.

As you found out, the money is gone immediately. Use a credit card online only. For purchases locally, use cash or a credit card---never a debit card.

Now you know. This is how we learn.

PC Cleaner upgrade only worked for 1 week, support a nightmare

PC Cleaner scans from 0% to 99% and then hangs. Called support and was informed that my computer needed cleaning before the PC Cleaner software would work. (huh?) Was sold a years support for $179. Eleven hours and four support reps later the original problem hasn't been resolved. Each rep does the quick-connect, runs a bunch of anti-virus software, and then disconnects. I then have to wait in line 15 minutes to start all over. Avast is a terrible company to do business with. I ran into this same problem with their back-up software. Run away from this company.

Would lliterally be faster n cheaper to just throw away computer, accept your losses n get another computer before using this product. Techs just run free shareware to clean up issues are VERY CONDESCENDING, utilize quick connect to hijack your computer and REFUSE to speak with you. Management supports this practice AND insists that techs work numerous issues simultaneously. Naturally this insures your issues will be multi tasked by the tech.

avast has taken payment from my account for 149.97 dollars and at the same time have cancelled my avast anti virus that i did not want and refuse to reply to my correspondence or to refund my money does any body out there know what legal body i can make a complaint to my first request for a answer was on sunday it is now wednesday you would think even avast could get there finger out and reply in that time i am starting to believe they are just one big scam my advice to people who are going to try avast don't there are better and cheaper anti virus out there and back up a question in less than 24 hrs

You apparently signed up for the paid version of Avast. I have used their free version for years without a problem and find it rather good. There are other free anti virus programs you can find like AVG, Panda, BitDefender, etc.

Bad Customer Service and Tech Support

I just dropped $179.99 on tech support. They took the entire day with three different techs which promised to fix the problem. I still have the problem. But now I have more problems. My fonts have all changed to weird dots and they took files off my computer without my permission that were related to my business. Not only do I pay for the Avast service per year at $125 now I am out of the tech fee and still a messed up computer. Their customer service rants at the bottom for trying to retain customers. They agents yelled at me and were not helpful. Under no circumstance would they issue me a refund. Not even a prorate refund. I hope anyone reading this will go somewhere else for their security and not use these scammers!! I am going to fight with my bank once the charge hits my account that this company is nothing but a scammer preying on people who need help fixing their computer.

Why don't you just do a full re-install of your OS from the disk image(s) I assume you were using to back up your system? You were backing up, weren't you?

YOU CHARGED ME FOR SUBSCRIPTION I DON'T WANT. I CANCELLED THE AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. Why do you have to make a simple request so darn difficult, when it is so easy to comply with my wishes and just refund my $42.39 that you debited from my bank accout! Let me say this again, I so do not want this Avast at this time, and I doubt in the future either, since I am having such trouble with your company. I just want my money back Please!!!!!!!!!! Your request to enter at least 100 words is preposterous! when i can sum it all up in ten words or less! I am loosing faith in dealing over the internet because of people like you. I am a peace loving individual and hate conflict, it doesn't make me very happy and so I avoid it.
