Hi, UnfoldedPossum411: We'd be happy to help! The default option when signing up for our upgraded products is to automatically renew to prevent any lapse in protection.

Unchecking that box would allow you to perform this task manually. It's possible our renewal emails got misdirected to your spam folder (we send the initial one out approximately 30 days prior to the end of the subscription period).

Actually the first time... I requested NOT to renew their service... they billed me anyway. Then I get a notification on my computer that it's expiring and they want to bill me AGAIN!!!!! Are you kidding me???? I am pissed.....

Thank you for contacting Avast. Based on our records, Order #65607112000 and Order #65606313000 were placed on Aug/19/2019. As per our return policy, refunds cannot be issued 30 days past their original purchase date. I have cancelled automatic renewal on your orders so that you are not billed unnecessarily when these licenses expire. Additionally, we will be happy to offer technical assistance for the duration of the subscription should you require it. Apologies for the inconvenience. I no longer have the laptop and this auto renewal only came to light when closing a credit card. This is tantamount to daylight robbery.

I renewed two of my Avast products using an email offer, under the promise (in writing) that the original expiry date would be honoured. This hasn't happened - after a month of going back and forth, they still haven't done anything about it, and I still have the expiry date of the day I renewed, rather than the original. Meaning I've effective lost 43 days of protection. I'm sick and tired of this, and have given up. Come my renewal date next year I will be cancelling all my Avast products - not doing it now because if it takes them this long to sort something so simple, only God knows how long it will take them to refund any money!
